Awesome stuff, my man! You are really rocking this; you really give a good list of how every country respects freedom to a degree and the best countries for certain kinds of freedom. Honestly though, I prefer America because our gun rights are decidedly better than almost any other nation.

Most states allow modern long guns (including semi-automatic rifles up to .50 BMG) without any permit, as well as unlimited capacity firearms magazines. We can own full auto legally by federal law; most states allow it with the right paperwork. We can own suppressors and use them, as well as SBRs.

Several US states are tax havens, and to no surprise, they are usually the best states for other freedoms such as guns. New Hampshire is really it; New Hampshire is probably the most libertarian state in the US and it is the best proof for libertarianism that it works. Despite having no income taxes and being a tax haven, as well as having the most relaxed gun laws in the nation, its crime rate and poverty rate are the lowest; it has half the homicide rate of neighboring states such as Vermont and Massachusetts which have stricter gun laws.

America is still the best, IMHO.

The Czech Republic ALSO allows unlimited capacity firearms magazines.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_law_in_the_Czech_Republic#Ammunition_and_magazine_restrictions

EU Law passed in 2019 pushed them to OFFICIALLY BAN semi-auto centerfire rifles and handguns equipped with magazines over 10-20 rounds, BUT just as with Switzerland, the Czechs continue to allow ownership of such weapons with a SHALL-ISSUE exemption permit.

As for freedom in US states, I would also like to mention the fact that MANY STATES allow concealed carry and open carry WITHOUT A PERMIT, including Alaska, New Hampshire, Vermont, and many other states.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concealed_carry_in_the_United_States

Many states have CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY.

You mentioned that if one wants a license to carry a gun, he should move to Idaho. The fact is, however, that a GOOD NUMBER of states already allow carrying WITHOUT a permit, or constitutional carry.

Almost all states allow concealed carry; even states such as New York or California allow it, although it is may-issue because some counties such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City DO NOT allow it while rural counties may be more relaxed.

I also didn't really understand when you said the following:

Want to own guns? Alaska.

Alaska definitely has the most relaxed gun laws in the Union, but I would like to mention that most other states are about as relaxed in this area as they allow for the same weapons and accessories to be owned.

I would say that for gun rights, New Hampshire definitely deserves to be added to the list, not to mention Mississippi, Montana, Indiana, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada, and many other places.

Also, the United States DOES allow suppressors by federal law, although state/local laws can vary. Obviously, states such as New York outright ban NFA items, including suppressors.

Federal Law also allows the private ownership of fully automatic firearms, and the process is actually quite straightforward. Sure, a good number of states outright ban them, but you can legally own them in most states with the right paperwork.

https://www.thearmorylife.com/how-to-legally-own-a-machine-gun/

The process may be straightforward and not that difficult, but the ATF processing time can take 8-12 months.

The biggest hurdle is the cost; the only full auto firearms legal for private ownership are those registered ON or BEFORE May 19, 1986 which means the supply is quite low; there are no new machine guns being added to the registry. Therefore, the costs are extremely HIGH, and can go well over $10,000.

I would really like to see this added to the list.

Thank you for finally enabling the comments and I appreciate you for taking the time to write in detail about freedom in Europe and the United States.

As I said before, I would like to see a few things included, especially in the area of gun rights.

Switzerland should be added to the list of countries that allows UNLIMITED CAPACITY FIREARMS MAGAZINES; they allow the ownership of magazines of ANY capacity.

While it is true since 2019 (due to EU regulations) that semi-automatic centerfire rifles equipped with magazines over 10 rounds and handguns equipped with magazines over 20 rounds are technically classified as forbidden weapons, you can easily skirt around the regulations with an exemption permit; you can simply get an exemption permit in the name of sport shooting or collecting.

Check this video by vistabetach, a gun owner from Switzerland who owns a few full auto firearms.

And I would also like to see some information added about fully automatic firearms. Switzerland definitely allows them for private ownership, not just military servicemen who take their service rifles home. You can privately own full auto firearms; vistabetach is a private citizen who does so.

Switzerland also allows short-barreled rifles/shotguns with a collector's permit.

Switzerland should be added to the list of countries that allow SUPPRESSORS.

As for full auto weapons, Sweden also allows them, although they are restricted. The same goes for Finland.
